  • The feature you value most is Question Types (good thing we have twice as many)
  • Pepperoni was the big winner in pizza toppings.
  • Chocolate edged out Mint Chocolate Chip for ice-cream flavors.

Last month you told us about your pets. Dogs were the big winner, with more than half (58%) of our respondents providing care for canines. Cats followed at 36% with None coming in ahead of fish. See the Results.

In response to our August newsletter, one reader asked, “I am looking for information regarding your security systems and how you keep client data confidential and protected?”

Great question, Frances! Alchemer took the GDPR compliance as the benchmark for protecting all of our customers’ and respondents’ privacy, regardless of where they are. Results from the August Poll

In August, we asked our readers about their current pets, pets they would love to own, and fantasy pets. We were a little surprised by the results, to be honest.

We honestly expected Cats to come in a little higher on the list, given their low maintenance. But the dog lovers in our office approve of this answer.

Dogs won again. We were a little surprised that more people didn’t want ponies, although alpacas and llamas might have stolen market share here.

Our guess here is that a fair amount of people watched cartoons before answering this question. Bear was the big winner, with Otter, Giraffe, Panda, and Falcon rounding out the top five. We’re a little worried that so many people wanted velociraptors, but impressed with the number of people who preferred capybaras.

EU-US Privacy Shield Struck Down,
Alchemer Customers Not Impacted

When the Court of Justice of the European Union (ECJ) recently invalidated the EU-US Privacy Shield framework, it affected about 5,300 companies. Alchemer customers, however, were not affected as we did not rely solely on the Privacy Shield membership for GDPR compliance. We always execute standard contractual clauses with our EU customers. Additionally, we have maintained an EU data center in Germany, and our software is GDPR compliant. Read More.
